Our Garage Photography Studio
At DNA Studios, located by the the Botanical Gardens in Norfolk, VA, we are excited to share with and document about the vision of our garage photography studio. It’s a small beginning, but we have had more humble spaces prior! Shout out to all the creatives who know what I mean. It doesn’t matter where you start, as long as you start! Creativity knows no bounds. Now that we officially have our LLC and find ourselves freshly moved into a house we are in the midst of a “new beginning.” Our garage stands a a blank canvas for our studio at the moment – but even so, it already has been serving its purpose!
The Vision DNA Studios Is Set To Become: As we step into the studio space, unaltered and brimming with potential, we see untapped possibilities. We are currently using this space, cherishing the simplicity it offers, yet we have much anticipation as we eagerly look forward to the creative process that lies ahead. Right now it just looks like a garage with a bunch of photography equipment, but it will be transformed into a haven where creativity flourishes!
I don’t want to give everything away so I’ll try to leave an element of surprise. We plan on putting in a seamless cyc wall, as well as a designated space for hair, makeup, and wardrobe. Think “professionalism meets high end.” This space will feature polished resin floors, curated backdrops, versatile lighting setups, and visual art.
Impacting The Community: Part of what we love is empowering other individuals. Our goal is to inspire and impart vision through many creative and life-giving outlets. We desire to cultivate a healthy, expansive environment for our community to both collaborate and be authentic. In the future, DNA will be a space utilized to also showcase and develop other creatives in some capacity. I am particularly excited about the part!
Now Taking Appointments: We are welcoming clients to our evolving studio, even though it’s a work in progress. The rawness of the garage setting really doesn’t have much of an impact on having photoshoots and inviting models and clientele in. It still gets the job done and serves its purpose! We’ll crank some tunes, get to know one another, and have a good time as we capture your truest and best self. Being in front of the camera can feel vulnerable to some, but everyone needs a photoshoot experience! Our goal is to make you feel comfortable, confident, and get you the high quality images you need.
That being said, we are thrilled to announce that we are now taking appointments in the studio! Our commitment to providing a personalized and comfortable experience remains unwavering.
